Spring Cleanup and Hike in Sipsey Wilderness with Wild Alabama

13 Feb 2023 7:19 AM | Anonymous member (Administrator)

We are partnering with Wild Alabama (https://www.wildal.org/) to give back to our beautiful places by doing cleanup in Sipsey Wilderness. This is a perfect opportunity to make a difference and to enjoy a hike afterwards. Join us on Saturday, March 25th, 2023. Event is open to everyone.

We will pick up trash for about 1 to 1.5 hours, then have lunch (bring your own) and go for an easy 3-mile hike. After that, additional hiking opportunities are available for anyone who want to hike more.

Please note, there is no mobile phone signal in the Sipsey Wilderness, or it is very random. It is encouraged to meet and ride together. You must bring sturdy boots and long pants for trash pickup part since we could be climbing steep sides of the road. Gloves will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own garden gloves or work gloves.
